Cindy Wagner.

I have a tremendous amount of respect and love for Mrs. Wagner. She is a mother to two amazing men of God, but serves as a “mom” to many. She has been a mentor, mother-like figure, and close friend to me for several years.

When I think of a gentle heart and someone who carries the peace of the Lord so tangibly, I think of Mrs. Wagner. I have never been around someone who, through trial and triumph, is able to hold strong to the peace of the Lord so tightly as Mrs. Wagner. She is definitely very mature in her faith and has been walking with the Lord for a long time; but that doesn't stop her from continuing to grow, it encourages her to grow more and more. As we continue to follow Jesus and learn how to live with Him at the center of our lives, it is only natural that we begin to desire Him on a deeper level. It is so encouraging to see someone that so clearly knows the Lord and is confident in His love for her, but also isn't afraid to get on her knees and go back to that first moment she said “yes” to Him. That is what we should desire. That is what a real relationship with Jesus should look like: continuous growth, but never losing our wonder.

Here's a glimpse of how the Lord captivated Mrs. Wagner's heart, and the transformation it has gone through since.

Interviewee:

Cindy Wagner; age 54. Currently in: Walpole, Massachusetts.

When did you come to know the Lord?

I was 20.

How did you come to know the Lord?

Through the Campus Crusaders for Christ. I was at UMASS (University of Massachusetts Amherst) and they were showing a movie. I was on a date and we thought we were going to see a scary movie so we went and watched it not knowing what it was about. And when they handed out the cards after the movie to refresh our thoughts on the movie, I wrote a book... They showed a movie about salvation and I knew it was true. And a woman from Campus Crusaders followed up with my comments and when she left I got on my knees and accepted the Lord.

What is the feeling you get when you fully worship?

Peace. Overwhelmed by his presence and overwhelmed by his grace and mercy, because there's nothing else like it and He has been so faithful in all that I've asked.

What is the Lord doing in Walpole Massachusetts?

I think He is maturing those that are truly in Him, and our church and community. I feel like He is healing people so that they can grow in Him even deeper; getting us ready to be used in an even more powerful way.

What is the Lord doing in your own life?

He is teaching me to be still and prompting me to know that He is going to use me. I'm not sure how He is, but I have a feeling it might be evangelizing again.

Why do you think your called to evangelize?

Because I like Him, I want others to be saved and not experience eternal damnation. I know in my heart that He has chosen us to do His work here on Earth.

What makes your heart come alive?

Seeing the faithfulness of prayers answered and seeing others come to Christ.

If you want to contact me you can. Faith is an action word, you have to take the time to seek Him, pray, and talk to Him. Don't just put Him aside until you yourself have sought Him with all your heart, soul and mind.

Cindy Wagner.
