The Struggling Writer.

Sitting in a coffee shop; an aspiring writer. Everyone loves a cliché.

Reaching, grasping for inspiration that comes few and far between one too many shots of espresso.

Trying to bounce new ideas back and forth in a brain that is all but convinced.

Seeking desperately just to please that one person that might stumble upon an unknown internet blog.

Nothing.

Nothing is the result of countless hours, of dollars fading fast.

Nothing but an empty journal and a pile of crumpled up paper below a wobbling table meant for two.

A day that surpasses the average nine to five but fails to reach even the potential that a mundane, pencil pushing office job may supply in a lifetime of should-haves.

That's it then.

The last one to leave and nothing to show but another blank piece of paper.

Maybe it's time then to start sharpening those pencils after all.
