Arrival day.

Looking at all of these people arriving to Kona for the first time for DTS; it's nostalgic. You can see the eagerness and anticipation in their eyes and the over sized suitcases being rolled around up and down hills as people try to understand the layout of campus and find their rooms. It's exciting. You can feel the energy surging out of each table of communities within a community. The leaders and staff just beaming with genuine joy and excitement because they have experienced this, they know what is about to happen. There is no way of knowing who will come, or what friendships will emerge. But it is clear to see that it is the beginning of something amazing. The beginning of something that only God could dream up and put into a reality. A place where people come, so not expectant and so not prepared for how rocked their world is about to get. There is no way of knowing what the Lord is going to do for each and every person that comes onto campus on this day of arrival. There is though, a confidence in knowing that what is not expected is often the greatest path. Only God knows our journey, only God knows the final outcome. We have just come here to see it fulfilled. To see the name of Jesus come alive in our hearts and then brought to every people group, to every nation. Exciting is not a sufficient adjective to begin to describe the start of this journey. For the returning staff, for the newcomers, for myself; excitement. Expectation. Eagerness. Such an incredible feeling. Souls are about to be saved and lives are about to be changed forever. Today is the start of an incredible journey for many people. It is a day, a season that God has ordained and predestined. We have been chosen to be here, to be a part of what the Lord is doing. It is such an incredible blessing.
